On the 21st of December from 10-14, the Zhongdan Team had arranged a badminton tournament inviting both Chinese and Danish students to participate in the event. A total number of 18 people participated in the competition. After an active day with lots of fun and sweat the winners were celebrated. Niels Andersen won a gold medal, whereas Christian Madsen and Mathilde Gammelgaard came second and third, respectively.
About the event, the Chinese participant Jiangshan has spoken: “the Danish attitude towards badminton is very different from the Chinese. Whereas the Danish thought of it as a kind of exercise and a day of having some fun, the Chinese participate for the honor and reward in winning.” Jiangshan hopes that a new badminton tournament will be arranged soon.
